One Week from Today

We have taken our children with us to vote at every election since they were babies. We began to give them a general idea of what we were doing as soon as they could grasp what we were saying.

In art class this week at their elementary school, they were told to choose from two handouts. One had 1/2 of Obama's face, and the other handout had 1/2 of McCain's face. The students were to choose which one they wanted and draw the other half themselves. The school also had mock elections where students could vote. I think this is fantastic.

This picture of Obama has been hanging on our fridge for months now, except our version has a heart drawn above his face with Chris' handwritten caption "You Go!" So, one week from today, when the kids get off the school bus, we will head to our voting station and they will watch us cast our votes for Obama.

Thank you, I feel lost in a see of McCain loving idiots. *sobs pitifully*

We will be doing much the same. I plan to take the kids with us to vote and hubby wants to keep them up to watch the results.

No matter who wins (oh Universe please cut us some slack and may it be Obama) it will be a historic night.
