If you are going to ride my ass, at least spank me and pull my hair!

I had to change the web address because I read my blog at work one time and I don't know how to erase all the addresses in the address bar. Oh, and because I got fired and am now involved in a pissing contest with Dolores Umbridge, my ex boss.

Notice how I never said anything about how much I loved my job after the first few days? Well, that would be because I've come home crying several times and spent 8 1/2 hours per day being belittled and demeaned. In all of my life, there have only been three people who inexplicably hated my guts. The first was a girl in choir with me in 9th grade. The second was a college professor in 1993. That third person? The boss at the job I held for a mere 45 days.

I was called into her office yesterday afternoon and told that I could either resign or be terminated, effective immediately. Human Resources told me this morning that she had been complaining about me to them and to the corporate office since my NINTH day of work, telling them that I don't know what I'm doing and that she has to go behind me and fix everything I do. On day 30 of my employment, she put me on a 30 day Performance Improvement Plan and terminated me on day 15 of that 30 days.

She had no idea that I was printing out my work to prove that I do indeed know what I'm doing. She did not know that I had about 40 pages of documentation. She did not know that I believe in standing up for the underdog and that I will not allow someone to walk all over me.

She does now.

Wow ~ I'm so sorry your new job turned out to be such a bad experience. I'm glad you're out of there, though. There is absolutely nothing worse than having to spend 40 hours of your life every week at a job you hate!

On to better things!

Aww, AZ I am so sorry to hear that your perfect job turned out to be perfect hell! Good for you, documenting stuff-- now give her hell back!

Let's see if it will let me leave a comment this time.

I'm glad you're out of there. The real job is still coming your way.

OMG! I'm so sorry to hear about your job. Great job documenting your stuff though. It sucks that it had to come to that though.

Better things await!

Oh honey {{{{{ }}}}}

I am so so so sorry that it turned out the way it did. I am glad that you documented everything you did though so you can win the pissing war Dolores started.

Many hugs
Blessings too

Oh i am so sorry that lady was such a bitch... there are some out there who just have to be mean to others and put others down to make themselves feel better... I had a manager like that when i worked retail and she lied about me, the work i did etc... she even had me on an evaluation period and at the end of it I got a 5 cent raise that year cause of all her lies... I was so happy when the store went out of business... And its sad to say but I think karma has finally caught up with her... Last time I saw her she was sick, with cancer... Thank you for the invite I do enjoy reading your blog and hope you find the dream job your looking for and that the other lady gets what coming to her... blessings

First of all, thank you for inviting me to read your private blog.

Second of all, I am so, so sorry for you losing your job and I can so, so commiserate.

I was fired from my job of nine years after my wonderful supervisor retired. The new boss was a bully who created a hostile work environment. I did not fight back but I really, really encourage you to do so. Go to your state's labor commission and FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT. I don't know what it is like in your state, but North Dakoat is a fire-at-will state, which means your supervisor can fire you because she doesn't like the color of your eyes. I truly hope your state (Alabama?) has different laws because our frikkin' law sucks.

But whatever the state law, get a lawyer and FIGHT THIS!!!

I just had to come back and say "Good for you" to have that documentation. That will serve you very, very well. Of course it depends on your state labor laws, but to terminate someone with not enough notice??? I don't think so.

I, too, have had some people inexplicably hate me at first sight. Their loss. They failed to make a wonderful friend. And that is what that XXXXXXX bitch will learn. Ha - I'm a lady, most of the time.

You know, this will hurt for a time, but you will get over it and you will come out stronger. I am proof. I am now in a great job (though only temp and hoping to become permanent) where the 15(!) women are all wonderful and nary a bitch in sight. I know you don't really quite believe me now, BUT IT IS TRUE! You will prevail and become a better person for it. Love ya, Julie

Too bad, she could have made herself look great and made things easier for herself with you :D Instead she may have made you the very Karma that bites her in the a$$! Go! Fight! Win!

Wow! Ug, that is so horrible, but sounds like you have your bases covered. Fingers crossed and like turtleheart said, give her hell back!
